Healthy Eating

At the pre-school we provide a snack to the children everyday where they can sit down and enjoy a variety of snacks such as fresh fruit and vegetables including grapes, apples, carrots, cucumber, bananas and also cereal and toast; we also provide milk and water to drink.

We believe that it is important that children have a healthy lunch. Here are some different ideas on what can be put into your childs lunch box to ensure they are eating a variety of healthy food.

These can be made from different types of bread. Why not try wholemeal, granary, high-fibre white, pittas, french bread or bagels. You could also incorporate different types of fillings such as:

  • Grated cheese & carrot
  • Cheese & cucumber
  • Tuna & sweetcorn
  • Chicken, lettuce & tomato
  • Salmon
  • Hummus
  • Mashed banana
